Since 1990, John and Ann Lane have been serving Madison and surrounding counties with prompt, friendly, and professional service. Midway Tire, established in 1990, started out installing and servicing tires. Soon after, they introduced gooseneck hitch installation, trailer service and repair, and sales and installation of truck accessories.
Midway Trailer & Equipment, a sister business of Midway Tire, opened in 2003. Since opening its doors in 2003, Midway Trailer & Equipment has sold literally 1,000's of trailers in the surrounding area and several trailers to customers all over the United States including the furthermost reaches of the East Coast to the West Coast to the Northern Canadian Border States. Midway Trailer & Equipment is actually located in Madisonville, TX instead of Midway, TX. It was named after its sister business, Midway Tire, which was actually the first of the two Midway businesses and did actually start in Midway, TX.
Having worked in the Texarkana family tire and truck accessories business throughout his youth and at Midway Tire during his college years, John and Ann's son, Craig, left Midway Tire when he graduated in 1995 from Texas A&M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2007, Craig was talking to his parents about looking for a new job in the computer systems design industry and they offered the option to Craig of moving back to Texas in order to help with Midway Tire and Midway Trailer & Equipment. Craig decided to take their offer and he now manages all functions of the Midway Trailer & Equipment location as well as the computer systems and online presence of both businesses.
John and Ann are both still actively involved in both businesses, but to Craig's delight, they are starting to take more time for themselves and enjoy activities outside of work.
